Mutant throws out the rulebook and redefines the entry-level audio market with it’s stunning new “Rose-Gold” range.. Not content to choose between style and price, Mutant dares to fly in the face of tradition and say “Have Both!” – Gorgeous car audio no longer has to have a drop-dead price tag.
The 2009 Mutant Rose Gold range consisting of Harmony speakers, Origin Amplifiers and Engage subwoofers and enclosures. All jam packed with high-end specifications and dripping with stunning gloss black and Rose Gold
accents, Mutant’s 2009 audio range is the ideal ménage et tois of function, style and price.

Harmony Speakers
Harmony speakers feature high gloss polypropylene cones with rose gold
tweeter housings, heavy pressed baskets, and high gloss PU surrounds.
The 5.25” and 6.5” component sets also feature bullet phase plugs to
reduce phase cancellation and swivel multi-mount tweeters allowing for
a more focused sound. Component tweeters are titanium domed giving
superb high-end fidelity without distortion right up to 20kHz.

Origin Amplifiers
Housed in custom tooled brushed black heat sinks with rose gold detailing, Origin 2 & 4 channel stereo, and mono bass amplifiers are all low impedance stable and tri-mode capable allowing them to run in stereo and mono modes simultaneously. They feature 3-way self-protection circuitry and top mounted controls for easy setup and tweaking after installation.

Engage Subwoofers
Featuring one-piece injection moulded polypropylene cones with high roll foam
surrounds, Engage subwoofers are capable of handling up to 1000watts peak
power*. They also feature heavy gauge stamped steel baskets, quad-layer 2”
aluminium voice coils, nickel-plated sprung connection terminals, vented back
plates and heavy gauge woven silver lead wires.

Mutant's Theory of Mutation

Mutant's Theory of Mutation is a closely guarded secret, it states that all sound is related and has descended from a common cone: the amps and the subs, the speakers and the head units -- all related!. Mutant's theory presumes the development of sound from "The Magnet" and stresses a purely naturalistic (undirected and heavy on the bass) "descent with modification". This means , complex sound systems evolving from more simplistic ancestors naturally over time. As random genetic mutations occur within a sound system's genetic code, the beneficial mutations are preserved because they enhance the listening experience -- a process known as "bass selection." These beneficial mutations are passed on to the next generation. Over time, beneficial mutations accumulate and the result is an entirely different organism (not just a variation of the original, but an entirely different creature).
